Exhibit on display from October 3 to January 20th. The piece, titled "Medicine Roots" is one of 45 pieces by notable native artists from North America. The exhibit was organised by Honor the Earth, ( www.honorearth.org ) an organisation that raises awareness for native environmental issues. ** MO3 Full-Length CD Panel Art Contest ** MO3 wants to see your sketches! Send in your concept art of the rap artist, or any artistic idea in relation to the theme "Mother", and your work could be included in the panels of the upcoming cd! There are a couple of rule changes that all potential competitors should be aware of: a) Ortofon will be the only cartridge and stylus allowed in the 2006 competitions. Any model Ortofon is allowed BUT all competitors can only use Ortofon. b) Pending policy confirmation from DMC world headquarters in England - competitors will now be allowed to use any DJ equipment manufacturers turntables and mixers at DMC DJ competitions. Technics turntables will be provided for competitors to use at each event. This can be in any format- cassette, CD; MP-3; vinyl. Preferably a recent release or something you have coming up. 2) A one paragraph bio and any other standard showcase application. For example: Picture; press, etc. But really, the most import! ant thing is send us the music. 3) Stage plot. Draw stick figures people of who plays what and where on stage. 4) What you'll be bringing to the party in terms of gear. So we'll know what to have on hand for you. This is very important. 5) A roster- with ages attached. 6) Must be ready, willing, and able to play in February (between the 23rd and the 27th). Deadline: January 21st.
