Wordburglar Remix Contest ---------------------------------- Wordburglar Remix Contest On the b-side of the new Wordburglar 12" EP you will find an a cappella for the hit anthem "Wordburglar." Using that a cappella, we're looking for the best remix of the song to appear on Wordburglar's upcoming sophomore album, Burglaritis, which will be distributed across Canada by Urbnet/Outside Music. If you don't have the EP, you can download the a cappella from soundclick: http://www.soundclick.com/bands/0/doogiehowitzer_music.htm Here are the Wordburglar Remix Contest's Rules and Regulations: i. Get a copy of the "Wordburglar" a cappella either from the vinyl or through the soundclick page. ii. The only restriction for this remix is that the song must be possible to release, so all samples must be chopped beyond recognition or very difficult to identify. The winner will be asked to sign a contract declaring all samples cleared. iii. Feel free to manipulate the song in any way, and give it your own personal feel and touch. Diversity is key. iv. All entries must be submitted on CD to Hand'Solo Records, PO Box 24031, 900 Dufferin St, Toronto, Ontario, Canada M6H 4H6, and post-dated no later than August 15, 2005. Please include your contact info, especially your email address. v. Only one entry per person. vi. All entries will be judged by a specially convened panel of hip hop experts headed by Wordburglar. vii. Winners will be contacted by email before the end of August. viii. The Grand Prize winner will get their remix on Wordburglar's Burglaritis CD, slated for a Fall release, as well as five copies of the CD, a Wordburglar t-shirt, and a copy each of Bassments of Badmen: Volume 2 and Cock Dynamiks. ix. Five runners up will receive a complimentary copy of Burglaritis and get their submission posted on the Hand'Solo website (www.handsolorecords.com). x. Remember, be creative and have fun!
