Bounty Killer's latest joint, 'Next Millennium' demonstrates an amazing ability to blend reggae, rap and R&B. Bounty Killer is definitely a reggae/Caribbean rhythms artist. As a result I found it very hard to understand what he was saying. Bounty Killer obviously realizes that his singing isn't understandable to all, so he brought in several featured artists and big-name producers. His slight lyrical incomprehensibility is compensated by many phat backbeats and by the rap lyrics provided by artists such as Noreaga, Cocoa Brovaz, Mobb Deep, Killah Priest, and Shaggy.

"No Supastar" features Killah Priest, Dramatxx and Bunny Ruggs. The song is a lyrical gem. It transposes the message to live life to the fullest. We all have a purpose, and we don't need to be supastar to be happy. '...Just gotta be just who you are...'. This chorus will get stuck in your head. "It's A Party" has got a definite party beat that is super catchy. Wyclef Jean spins the production on this song that features Cocoa Brovaz

Next Millennium had the potential to be much better. I just couldn't understand Bounty's lyrics most of the time, which makes for a bland album. The album has definitely got some great beats. I also enjoyed the way Bounty Killer is able to mix rap lyrics into a Reggae-style album. If you're a big reggae and rap fan, then you'll probably really enjoy this album. If you haven't yet developed a taste for Reggae, then this album probably won't be one of your favorites.
