Guy's "reunion" album entitled 'Guy III', is in effect the workings of three guys. But these three artists are not merely ordinary. Blackstreet's super-producer, Teddy Riley holds down the fort, taking nearly all production credits, not to mention R&B vocal contributions. While brothers, Aaron & Damion Hall round out the trio. The albums style fluctuates from R&B ballads to funky-laden hip hop.

With Teddy Riley at the reigns, you're guaranteed at least one truly sizzling track. He doesn't disappoint on this album, with "Do It." It's the most upbeat song on the album and is a sure-shot hit. In fact, this track features rap vocals by none other than his brother Markell. "Rescue Me" is the best R&B track. The simple, but standard R&B beat interweaved with Aaron Hall's vocals sets the mood for any romantic eve. "Don't U Miss Me", "The Best", and "2004" are some of the more impressive tracks.

In addition to the music, Guy attempts a hand at a little interactive multimedia. The content was excellent with videos and pictures. Unfortunately, the multimedia did not run smoothly and nearly crashed my system, as the introductory popup window kept opening up whenever the cd struggled to play the movie. This was very annoying.

Overall, Guy put forth an impressive album. It's above average, which is no surprise considering the talented artists that make up this group. Unfortunately, tracks like "Love Online", which features the AOL "You've Got Mail" sound clip, prove not to be R&B worthy. If you're a fan of Blackstreet or similar groups, then you'll probably enjoy this album. This album is aimed toward the R&B fan, so take notice next time you seek out a fresh album.
