THE LAND IN BETWEEN SOUNDTRACK
VARIOUS ARTISTS
Regime Records
Ranking 9/10

If you haven't heard of Regime Records by now, you best peep their site. This underground label is hot! Their production is scintillating and their array of artists amaze me.

The Land In Between Soundtrack, a Regime Records production, features 17 rap and R&B tracks. Jesse Lester is amazing! His deep melodic voice will flow through your mind for days with "Mental Drift" and "Another Man's Pleasure". Missiah's only song, "We Shine" was one of my favorites. These female rappers let you know that they have serious skills. Big Three provide 3 songs on this album and they're all super phat! Their "Mind Games" just blows me away. Club Mecca has got mad skills! Their "Body Language" provides a bit of a retro sound which I really dig and their Rza-sounding rapper kicks out a lot of the lyrics. Their other great song; "Guard Your Life" has a super-catchy hook.

Regime Records is definitely hot! The production on this album was amazing and really caught my attention. They've got a lot of dope original beats, hooks and sounds. If you like hardcore gangsta rap, then this album might not be your style. Otherwise it definitely worthy of a checkin out!
